Opligence LLC (“we,” “us,” or “the Company”) operates Talk15 (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information: email address, password (hashed), date of birth, gender, and language preferences.
  • Payment information: processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or bank details on our servers. We store your Stripe customer ID and transaction records.
  • Talker onboarding: if you register as a Talker, Stripe Connect collects additional identity and banking information directly. We receive your Stripe account status and payout information but not your full banking details.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: session timestamps, match preferences, call duration, and completion status.
  • Device and browser information: browser type, operating system, and IP address (for security and abuse prevention).

1.3 Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not record or store the audio content of calls.
  • We do not track your location beyond what is inferred from your IP address.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Matching: language, gender, age range, and availability preferences are used to match Listeners with Talkers.
  • Payments: to process ticket purchases and Talker payouts through Stripe.
  • Service operation: to manage sessions, enforce call rules, and maintain account security.
  • Communication: to send essential service notifications (e.g., account changes, payment confirmations).
  • Safety and compliance: to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these circumstances:

  • Stripe: payment and payout processing. Stripe’s privacy policy governs their handling of your data.
  • Supabase: our infrastructure provider for authentication and database services.
  • Legal requirements: when required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
  • Safety: to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public.

We do not reveal your identity to other users. Calls are anonymous; the other party sees only the matching criteria (language, age range, gender preference).

4. Data Retention

  • Account data: retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
  • Session records: retained for up to 12 months for dispute resolution and service improvement, then anonymized or deleted.
  • Payment records: retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Request data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including Japan and the United States (where our infrastructure providers operate). We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates the most recent revision.
